APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:
The Haddon Township Police Department is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion. The following criteria must be fulfilled in order to apply for a police officer position within the department.

Be a citizen of the United States.

Possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license.

Have earned a high school diploma or a high school equivalency completion certificate.

Be able to read, write and speak the English language.

Have not been convicted of any crime or crimes constituting an indictable offense, or any crime or offense involving moral turpitude.

Be between the ages of 18 and 35 when filing an application for an entrance examination.

Possess a satisfactory certificate of completion for police academy training from the New Jersey Police Training Commission (Basic Course for Police Officer) or SLEO II within a waiver period, or be currently enrolled in a New Jersey Police Academy.

Meet the physical and psychological requirements as determined by an appointed authority.

Pass an extensive background investigation and oral board interview.

Meet all other requirements contained in N.J.S.A. 40A:14-127.
